In what ways has your relationship to sound been informed by growing up in California?

I am not sure that growing up in California had much influence on my relationship to sound.

In what terms would you describe your practice?

My work is about listening, devoting attention to sound as content and symbol of place, time, perception, and feeling.

Could you say a few words about Chaud/Froid, the work you will present at Helicotrema 2016?

This work was created after a ten-day artist residency in June 2015 at a mysterious old house in a small village in rural northern France. All of the sounds were recorded in the house or in the village. The final work was created in December 2015, and revised for this event in June 2016.
