Giulia Vismara’s experimental research is focused on electroacoustic composition, sound installations, music for performances, live electronics. She is particularly interested in the action of listening and spatialization. Her sound works were performed in Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, Canada. She holds a degree in musicology from Bologna University and a master in electroacoustic composition attended in Florence and Den Haag Conservatory. Currently, as a PhD researcher at IUAV, Venice, she is investigating the mutual relationship between architectural spaces and sound.


Caroline Claus is an urban (sound) designer. She creates contexts for contemporary urban acoustic experiences. In her transdisciplinary research she investigates sound’s potential and all sound – related practices for urban development processes in old industrial areas.

Caroline Claus holds a master’s degree in sociology at the University of Ghent (2005), and urban development and spatial planning at Erasmus University and VUB (2013). She has long term experience in supporting organizations in the social sphere in their organization of community involvement in Brussels urban planning and renovation projects.
