In 2021 Helicotrema – Recorded Audio Festival celebrates its 10th edition and launches a new open call for audio works.
Since 2012, Helicotrema has been a non-profit platform for the presentation of narrative and multidisciplinary sound works – such as radio plays, audio-documentaries, experimental poems, soundscapes – experienced through collective listening sessions.
We invite artists, authors, poets, performers, musicians, researchers and practitioners of all kinds to send us sound works for the new edition of the festival.
Helicotrema 10 will take place in the second half of 2021 in Venice, Prato and, for the first time outside Italy, in Barcelona.
This year, the festival will dedicate part of its program to the topic of travel, understood in its many facets. Although we remain open to audio works of any genre and subject, particular attention will be given to works that respond to this theme.
Audio files (maximum duration: 10 minutes) can be submitted through this form.
Deadline: 15 July 2021
The Helicotrema team, in collaboration with an external group of advisors, will select some of the contributions to be included in the 2021 festival program.
